Contractor Marketplace Terms

1. Independent Third Parties
BuildPulse Construction Inc. provides a software tool that matches homeowners with local contractors. All contractors listed on, or introduced through, the platform are independent, third-party service providers. They are not employees, agents, franchisees, or subcontractors of BuildPulse Construction Inc., and no partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship is created between BuildPulse and any contractor.
2. No Guarantees or Endorsements
We do not endorse, validate, or guarantee the licensing status, insurance coverage, workmanship quality, pricing, structural safety, or availability of any contractor found through our Services. Any contractor ratings, reviews, or profile information displayed on the platform are provided for informational purposes only.
3. User Responsibility and Due Diligence
- Request physical proof of insurance and workers' compensation coverage;
- Verify local licensing and permits required for your project;
- Obtain a comprehensive written quotation and signed contract directly from the contractor before commencing any physical work; and
- Confirm pricing, timelines, and scope of work in writing prior to payment.
4. Contractor Obligations
Contractors who register to receive leads or job matches through BuildPulse are responsible for maintaining valid licensing, insurance, and compliance with all applicable local, provincial/state, and federal regulations. BuildPulse reserves the right to remove any contractor from the marketplace at its sole discretion, including for failure to meet these obligations or for user complaints.
5. Limitation of Liability
BuildPulse Construction Inc. shall not be held liable for any disputes, damages, delays, financial losses, property damage, or poor workmanship arising out of your engagement or contract with any independent, third-party contractor. Any such disputes must be resolved directly between you and the contractor.
6. Dispute Resolution Between Users and Contractors
BuildPulse is not a party to any agreement between a user and a contractor and has no obligation to mediate or resolve disputes arising from such agreements. Users are encouraged to resolve disputes with contractors directly, and, where necessary, through applicable consumer protection channels or the courts.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BuildPulse Construction Inc. from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your engagement, contract, or dispute with any contractor accessed through the marketplace.
